Camacho Cigars to introduce the first ever Triple Maduro cigar

Christian Eiroa, President of Camacho Cigars, has been working on this blend for almost a full year.  Blending five different maduro varieties, before perfecting the cigar. “The idea of blending a cigar where the filler, binder and wrapper are ALL Maduro posed a challenge. The biggest challenge was to get these thick leaves to burn and taste right together. We did it! The cigar is awesome! Just wait until you try it!” Eiroa said.

The Camacho Triple Maduro™ is medium to full-bodied with a very rich flavor. Camacho will begin to ship the cigars in the next few months. It will be available in four sizes, 4 1/2 X 50, 6 X 60, 6 X 54 (Figurado) and in Camacho’s own 11/18 size which has a 56 ring gauge.

Camacho Brands to get a Face Lift!

Camacho Cigars is proud to announce the launch of its newly redesigned packaging for all Camacho branded products. The redesign is intended to more clearly communicate the quality and heritage of the Camacho brand. This upgrade adds a more unified and contemporary flair, giving the complete line of products a better presence on cigar store shelves.

Camacho consumers will recognize and welcome the enhanced look, while new consumers will be attracted by the new bands and labels, identifiable color coding, and approachable price points.

The greatest efforts in this redesign were applied to the Camacho Corojo Diploma (see photo at left), 11/18 and 07/05. These cigars, comprised of the world’s finest Corojo tobaccos, merit a look that reflects quality, complexity and sophistication. The words “Quinto Corte” (Fifth Priming), which have been added to the new band, refer to the top-most leaves of the Corojo plant. These leaves, which are used for the wrapper, are picked last and receive the most exposure to the sun and natural elements giving these cigar there rich, full-flavored taste.

Camacho Cigars newly redesigned packaging will be in stores by late April 2007.

New Estate Select Premium Cigars From Gurkha Feature Extra-Select
8-Year Old Wrapper

Beach Cigar Group recently announced two new medium-bodied Gurkha premium cigars, the Estate Select Reserve and Estate Select Vintage Shaggy.  According to CEO Kaizad Hansotia, “Both feature extra-aged tobaccos not usually found in cigars in this price range, offering an extra-smooth and refined flavor.”    The unbanded Estate Select Reserve is available in three shapes.  MSRP for the Imperial Perfecto (6 x 60) is $8.80, the Royal Rothschild (6 x 54) is $6.80, and the Prince (5 x 52) is $6.40.  They are presented in boxes of 25 and 100.

The secret to Estate Select Reserve’s sophistication is its 8-year old Dominican wrapper and 5-year old binder and filler, which includes Peruvian leaf for added spiciness.  Reports Hansotia, “The large ring gauges of these cigars, especially the Imperial Perfecto, means they deliver an abundance of satisfying smoke.  They offer the same level of quality smokers have come to expect from Gurkha cigars.”

Estate Select Vintage Shaggy is also offered in three shapes and in 25- and 100-count boxes.  MSRP for the Toro (6 x 50) is $7.20, Churchill (7 x 52) is  $7.60, and the Torpedo (6.5 x 53) is $8.40. Like the Reserve, Shaggy also has an 8-year old Dominican wrapper and 5-year old Dominican binder and filler.

Hansotia explains, “Shaggy is essentially the same cigar as our Pre-Embargo we introduced three years ago, which included Cuban leaf in the filler, and sold for three times the Shaggy’s price.  Though there’s no Cuban leaf in this cigar, it shares the same 8-year old wrapper as Pre-Embargo.

New Casa Toraño Maduro Premium Cigar Line

In 2004, the Toraño family unveiled their unbanded “mystery cigar,” which had been appearing at events around the country for some time.  Toraño rollers at the events would hand these unbanded, freshly-rolled cigars to attendees, always to enthusiastic acclaim.

Finally, now-President Charlie Toraño revealed this had been the family’s private cigar for some years, and that they were now introducing it to the smoking public.  It was introduced as “Casa Toraño,” and is a mild-bodied but explosively flavorful cigar that appeals to smokers who give more priority to a cigar’s flavor than its strength.  Since then, Casa Toraño has joined the rest of the company’s cigars in earning top ratings in the cigar media, and has become a commercial success.

Now, after a year in development,  the Casa Toraño has been joined by the Casa Toraño Maduro, in four shapes, including three favorites: a Robusto (4-3/4 x 52), Toro (6-1/4 x 50), and Torpedo (6-1/2 x 54).
