New Stogie Fresh Accessory for Golfers

If you are like most golfers, you are forever looking for the "next best golf tool." Now you have another option to choose from: the Stogie Fresh Edition DivPro Divot Tool. Yes, I know this is a shameless plug for my own brand, but hey, get used to it, I gotta make a living. So, let me tell you about this cool tool.

Although I am not a good golfer… okay, I'm actually a duffer; I still get excited when I see a cool gadget. A few months ago I was given the opportunity to examine a new golf tool on the market called, DivPro Divot Tool, created by No Joke Inc. After using this tool, I had to have a Stogie Fresh Edition of this tool to offer for my golfing friends. Why?

The Div Pro golf tool looks like something out of an "Alien" movie. Seriously, whenever I see this tool I get flashbacks of Sigourney Weaver saying, "I'M THE MONSTER'S MOTHER." Regardless, with its long sleek lines and black nickel-plating, this tool will turn some heads. But its good looks are not its only feature. In fact, this tool has at least 6 advertised features.

1. 1. Cigar holder. I have to start with this feature because, after all, this is a cigar publication. As it turns out, the cigar holder works great too. Even out of a deep rough (see photo below), which is where I find myself more often than not, this tool keeps your cigar dirt and grass free whilst you hack, I mean chip, your ball out of harms way. Obviously, Stogie Fresh wouldn't be involved in selling golf tools if they didn't have a cigar-related function. In fact, in a pinch, you can use the prongs on the DivPro to lance a hole in your cigar, either because you've misplaced your cutter, or because your cigar is plugged and you need to skewer an opening for a better draw. Okay, bad idea after you've jammed the tool in the ground or cleaned your cleats with it, but that's why you should buy more than one…
   

2. 2. Ball marker. This is one of the coolest ball markers I've ever seen. Well all right, I'm only saying that because it has my image on the marker, but still… Every golfer should have a ball marker and this one not only looks great, it works just fine. The ball marker is attached to the tool with a strong magnet that keeps it in place with a snap. In fact, a little trick I've learned is that you can make a clicking sound with the ball marker simply by pressing your thumb up and down on the bottom edge of the ball marker while its in the grasp of the magnet. What good is that you ask? Well, doh! Haven't you ever seen someone train a dog using a clicker? I rest my case…
   

3. 3. Divot tool. I rarely need a divot tool. After all, divot tools assume that you aim for and actually hit the green. On the occasions where I do hit the green, my ball usually skims it like throwing a flat rock across a lake. Nevertheless, most golfers will need a divot tool and the Stogie Fresh Golf Tool makes short work of those offending lumps in the green.
   

4. 4. Club head cleaner. When you are a hack like me, you get used to playing a lie that's out of bounds, or in some other inopportune place. As a result, my clubs tend to get dirtier than most. While you can easily wash the club face, it is important to make sure the grooves on the club face are clear of dirt, grass and other debris.  The DivPro tool can easily dislodge all of the crud from the grooves using the pointed end of the tool.
   

5. 5. Shotgun opener. If you haven't been in college for awhile, you may not be familiar with the term, "shotgun." Basically, it is the process of drinking copious amounts of alcohol through an ingenious method of swilling out of a can. Here's the way I do it… I mean DID it back in college. You take a can of beer, pop open the top and then tip the can toward your mouth while simultaneously opening an air hole at the bottom of the can (which is now at the top) with a can opener. This technique empties the contents of the can into your stomach in less time than it takes Jiffy Lube to change the oil in your car. And, it just so happens that the Stogie Fresh Edition DivPro Golf tool has a can can opener for said purpose. AND, each DivPro tool comes with the Rules of Shotgun Golf. Besides that, the very same can opener tool can also be used to open a bottle of beer, in a pinch. Trust me.
   

6. 6. Golf grip saver. Playing golf in the morning can bring with it some early morning dew. The DivPro tool can be easily used to keep your grips from coming in contact with the wet earth.
   

There are, I'm sure, many other potential uses for the Stogie Fresh Edition DivPro Golf Tool. For example, you no doubt can skewer a hot dog and roast it over a camp-fire… But, I digress.
