DESCRIPTION: This past week, the Doc and team Stogie Fresh were guests of the Rocky Patel company in Danlí, Honduras. Well, we’re back and still alive to tell about our experiences in the fields, farms and factories of one of America’s premier cigar companies.

Today’s featured cigar, the Rocky Patel “Decade,” is a limited edition cigar line that was created to celebrate the milestone of 10 years in the tobacco business. The cigar was officially revealed at this past year’s RTDA tradeshow in Houston, Texas, but is due to start shipping in mid-October 2007.

The cigar consists of a fine looking Ecuadorian-grown Sumatran wrapper that has been aged four years. It also sports a Honduran binder and Nicaraguan filler. Patel says that the filler comes from the Condega, Jalapa and Estelí, Nicaragua growing regions, and is aged seven to eight years.
