DESCRIPTION: The San Cristóbal is Ashton’s biggest and most important product release in many years. San Cristobal is a name that Ashton has had registered and trademarked here in the United States since the mid-1980’s. They have wanted to come out with this brand for quite some time. However, they felt it was important to wait until they had the right cigar, as well as the right cigar manufacturer for the job.
The Ashton Product Development team worked long and hard on this project for 2 years. The San Cristóbal is Ashton’s first partnership on a major release with noted cigarmaker Jose “Pepin” Garcia, who is famous for making Tatuaje cigars.
The San Cristóbal is blended entirely from rich and delicious Nicaraguan tobaccos. These cigars feature dark, oily Nicaraguan wrappers. This cigar, like many products from Pepin Garcia, is made with a Cuban-style triple cap. The choice Nicaraguan wrapper comes from the highest priming on the plant and is subjected to a long fermentation process.

The San Cristóbal is being made at Don Pepin’s Tabacalera Cubana factory in Nicaragua.
The cigar comes in boxes of 22 in six sizes. The cigar I am featuring today is the 6 2/3 by 46 Guajiro.
LIBATION OF THE DAY:
Elijah Craig Single Barrel Bourbon is made by Heaven Hill Distilleries. It is the oldest Single Barrel Bourbon in the world at 18 years. Elijah Craig Single Barrel is one of only a handful of the millions of aging Bourbon barrels that are allowed to mature this long. The barrels are hand selected by Parker and Craig Beam, and after 18 years of Kentucky seasons nearly 2/3 of the contents of the barrel have evaporated into Angel's Share!
