DESCRIPTION: La Aurora cigars, like the Preferidos, the 100 Años, and the 1495 Series have benefited from this barrel aging. However, now La Aurora is taking the next logical step and upping the ante with their new Barrel Aged line.

Now to the ingredients: The Barrel Aged has a filler blend that consists of Nicaraguan-grown Corojo and Piloto Cubano tobaccos. It has a Dominican binder and is wrapped with a very dark and glistening 4-year-old Dominican Corojo Oscuro leaf.
FEATURED LIBATION: Pyrat XO Reserve rum
The Pyrat XO Reserve rum is a blend of 15-year old Caribbean rums. It’s 40% Alcohol by Volume and comes in a unique 750 ml bottle. The bottle is designed to be reminiscent of the old rum bottles horded and traded by pirates and ship captains in the 1800’s.
WHAT’S BEEN HAPPENING AT STOGIE FRESH: This week Doc talks about a new article on a Cigar Event Featuring the La Aurora Barrel Aged. Also featured is a short audio segment of Master Blender José Blanco talking about the Barrel Aged. Doc uses José’s statements as a springboard to talking about cigar reviews.
