DESCRIPTION: Today’s featured cigar is the Trinidad Fundadore, which means Founder. It is an imposing cigar at 7.5 inches and 40 ring gauge. It’s a parejo shape and sports a pig-tail cap and a relatively new gold and beige band with a Triple T in the center and the name Trinidad just below it.

Named after one of Cuba's most beautiful and famous historical cities, the Trinidad brand was created in 1969. Though its history has been relatively brief, compared to many famous Cuban brands, Trinidad has nevertheless played an important role in the history of Cuban cigars.
Along with the Cohiba, the Trinidad has been used for diplomatic gifts to foreign ambassadors, politicians and other foreign diplomats since its inception in 1969.
But, it wasn’t until 1997 that the Trinidad brand was officially launched and made available to the general public and as an export to the International and World Markets.
