Tasting Notes
This 6 x 50 torpedo possesses a medium-brown African Cameroon wrapper that is slightly “toothy”. A small amount of mottling accompanied the color of this otherwise very appealing wrapper. The veining in the wrapper was very distinct, tracing its way down the body of this cigar. I noted that the wrapper had a few relatively large water spots, and a chlorophyll spot along one of the veins. This observance did not deter my appreciation for this rare delicacy.

The pre-light aroma on this Cameroon wrapper produced a nose of nuts and sweet hay. After clipping the cap, I took a pre-light draw, and was rewarded with the flavor of ripe tobacco. The draw was easy, but not too loose.

Today, I am left with pre-historic pyrotechnic devices in order to ignite this cigar. Using a sulphur-free match, I gently warmed the foot of the cigar, then gently pulled on the cigar using only the heat of the flame to obtain an even ember. Embarrassingly, it took me a couple of attempts to accomplish this feat.

The cigar started out mild-medium in body with the flavor of ripe tobacco and a sweetness in the undertone, while the Cameroon wrapper lent a little spiciness to the aftertaste. A nutty nuance was noted in the beginning, but soon gave way to the main character.

The body of this cigar slowly rose to medium, but made a marked increase at the halfway point. The flavors deepened to rich coffee with a continuing sweet undertone, while the spiciness in the aftertaste jumped near the last third.

As in previous reviews, this cigar continues to display an excellent burn. No problems were noted during the smoking of this cigar. The cigar produced a pearl-gray ash that was light and razor sharp. Rolling off a solid pellet, a very small cinder cone was left, and displayed a tight core within the body of the cigar.

The third rating of this cigar renewed my expectations in its performance; its profile being more in line with what I had experienced in previous tastings. Other than some slight aesthetic issues, this cigar continues to be a pleasurable experience. We'll rate this cigar again for the final time in six months, and assign it an “Aging Potential Score”.

Storage Conditions
Cedar sheathed and cello’ed in boxes of 10, these cigars are manufactured by Charles Fairmorn, Ltd. in the Dominican Republic. They have been aging peacefully in my Aristocrat humidor at 71% RH and 68ºF. I have maintained these cigars in their original cello in order to protect the delicate Cameroon wrapper. This is the third review in the series of this cigar at Stogie Fresh.
